Would you like to see your work in print through the Portal Press? The Portal Press is currently looking for new and established authors whom create strange and fantastic fiction to print in the unique Portal Press format. Submission is free and if your work is accepted the Portal Press will edit, illustrate, advertise as well as put your work into print at no cost to you. Portal Press would obtain only first printing rights, while the author would retain all other rights to his or her own work. Payment would be made via paypal or cashier's check at a current rate of .01-.03 cents per word.
Type of work we are looking for: Unusual short stories (2,000 to 15,000 words in length), and or poetry that are written in the tradition of the great fantasy, horror and short fiction writers of the past and present.
Submission guidelines: All submitted work must be original previously unprinted work that the writer has full rights. Although a writer can reprint his own work anywhere they please after being printed by the Portal Press, we do not normally accept previously printed material. All work must be submitted via postal mail on CD in Microsoft WORD format or through e-mail. Please submit any submissions by e-mail as an attachment in MS word format, not in the content of the e-mail body itself.
